Greetings from Bishop Paul Hewett

PAUL-HEWETT-FACE_3

As the Church of the Transfiguration prepares to enter its twentieth year, we extend a warm welcome to all who visit us on line, or on the corner of Columbia Avenue and Sherman Street in Phoenixville.

We have a rich and rewarding heritage of:

  • Worshipping Almighty God with the historic Anglican Liturgy
  • Gospel preaching and witnessing
  • Thorough teaching and catechesis for people of all ages
  • Discipling new members
  • Helping to knit together all the orthodox Anglican parishes of the Philadelphia metropolis
  • Sponsoring mission work and connectivity in England, Sweden, Norway and Greece
  • Becoming more visible in our community
  • Caring fellowship and ministering to one another in the Lord

As we grow in age, may we grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. “O taste and see, how gracious the Lord is.” (Psalm 34: 8)

O God, who in the glorious Transfiguration of thine only begotten Son didst confirm the mysteries of the Faith by the testimonies of the fathers, and in a voice which came down from the bright cloud didst marvelously foreshadow the perfect adoption of sons; vouchsafe in thy mercy to make us coheirs with this glorious King, and partakers of His glory, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, world without end. Amen.

Collect for the Feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ.
